As with all technologies, there is a push from handset developers to constantly bring to market innovative new designs that will greatly appeal to consumers. Finnish handset giant Nokia introduced a concept device they dubbed "The Morph." The Morph, still very much a concept device with no intended plans to manufacture or release, takes mobile smartphone devices miles beyond what is currently available on the market today.

Pay as you go cell phone deals are a good option for those who use their mobile phones for relatively small amount of time. In such a deal, a bill is issued at the end of each month without locking into a fixed-term contract. That is, one is not tied to any company to use their service on a long term basis. In pay as you go cell phone deals, per call charge will be cheaper than prepaid options but higher than standard options. The major advantage of the deal is that you can swap plans easily according to your wish.

Communication facilities are rapidly evolving, changing and converging. There are many methods of communication including wireless, VoIP and traditional PSTN. Most companies have an array of communication devices including cell phones, hand held personal devices, instant messaging and the good old receiver. Industry giants like Microsoft, Cisco, Nortel and others are feverishly working to forge alliances and integrate technologies and deliver unified communications.

Maybe it took a while, but today's imported / Chinese clones or knock offs are becoming more and more accepted for a few reasons. First, in today's economy, the clones just make a lot of financial sense. Not only do they typically cost about 1/4 - 1/3 of their name brand counter parts, they often have bonus features that the mainstream models just don't offer. Additionally, the clones typically allow you to use whichever low cost carrier you wish. However, if there was anything that was lacking on many of the clones, it was the lack of decent models with keyboards and texting features.

Cell phones manufactured by Sony, Ericsson, Siemens, Samsung, Helio, Motorola, Lg, Nokia, or Sanyo will usually always accept downloads of ringtones, but it does depend on the age of the phone in question. Other cell phone manufacturers include NEC, Qualcomm, Panasonic, Acer, Alcatel, Audiovox, and Kyocera. As the cell phone industry always seems to be somewhat rapid state of change and dynamism, cell phones themselves, cell phone services and cell phone rates always seems to be changing as well.

With the UK mobile phone market getting bigger, more advanced mobile phones are getting introduced with sophisticated designs. Mobile phone networks are offering various mobile phone deals with amazing tariff plans. Acquiring the latest handset is no more a big deal. No longer have you to carry bulky handsets that perform a multitude of functions. These days, you have slim mobile phones that are not only easy to carry but also look classy.

Home phones still provide the same old features and they will never be capable of being used in the same manner as mobile phones due to user movement restrictions. The mobility is also seen as one of the reasons why service providers cannot base service information on a mobile phone number. Or at least that’s what they’re telling us, but how much of that is true and not deals made with fixed line operators isn’t well known.
